Amelia Connect (“the App”) is provided by Amelia Homecare, Inc (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Who the App is for
Amelia Connect is used by parents and guardians (“you”) to manage home-care cases for the children in your care. The App is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts — you enter information about your child on their behalf as their parent or guardian.
Information we collect
We only collect information you provide or that is needed to run the service.
Account information
- Your name, email address, and password (passwords are stored encrypted/hashed, never in plain text).
Family and child information you enter
- Child’s name, date of birth, gender, and primary language.
- Health-related details you choose to add, such as a diagnosis or condition.
- Parent/guardian marital status.
Contact information
- Home address, phone numbers, and email.
- Emergency contacts (name, relationship, phone, email).
Documents you upload
- Images or PDF files of documents you submit for your case. You may attach these using your device camera, photo library, or files.
Technical information
- A secure sign-in token, stored in your device’s protected storage (Apple Keychain / Android Keystore) so you stay logged in.
- Basic operational logs needed to keep the service secure and working.
What we do NOT do
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or ad networks.
- We do not sell your personal information.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and your child’s care case.
- To let Amelia Home Care staff review your case and the documents you submit.
- To provide support and communicate with you about your case.
- To keep the service secure and comply with legal and record-keeping obligations.
How we share your information
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
- With Amelia Home Care staff who manage your case.
- With service providers who host and secure our systems (for example, our cloud/hosting provider), under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of individuals.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Children’s information
Information about your child is provided by you as their parent or guardian to receive care services. We use it only for that purpose. If you believe a child’s information was provided without proper authority, contact us at info@ameliahomecareny.com and we will address it.
Health information
Some information you enter (such as a diagnosis or condition) is health-related. We treat this information as confidential and use it only to provide and coordinate care.
Device permissions
- Camera — only to take a photo of a document you choose to upload.
- Photos / Files — only to select a document you choose to upload.
You can decline these; you simply won’t be able to upload from that source.
Data security
- Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
- Your sign-in token is stored in your device’s secure hardware storage.
- We apply administrative and technical safeguards on our servers.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services. Care-related records may be retained longer where required by law or record-keeping rules. See “Deleting your account” below.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access and update your and your child’s information in the App.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data (see below).
- Contact us with any privacy questions at info@ameliahomecareny.com.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time. See our Account Deletion page. We will delete or de-identify your information, except records we are legally required to keep, within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and notify you in the App of significant changes.
