Is Live-In Right For You

Continuity over rotation.

Live-in care places one caregiver in the home for several days at a time. They sleep overnight (uninterrupted, with a minimum break), help during the day, and a relief aide takes over once or twice a week. This builds a real relationship between caregiver and client.

Live-in is the right choice when:

  • Your loved one sleeps through the night without needing care
  • Companionship and consistency matter more than 24-hour vigilance
  • You want the same familiar face most of the time
  • The home has space for the aide to sleep (private room)

If your loved one wakes often at night or has high fall risk, look at 24-hour care instead.
